Woodland Garden Update August18,2007

Well I drove out to the woodland garden this morning. It was a very drab day all gray and drizzle. I had some more Chilton Flagstone to work on the ledge garden with. See Previous Post The weather was not so good to work in so I begged off the project for this week end. I will pick up again next weekend.

Even though the weather was not good for working the drive out and the time spent there was not wasted. When I am at the woodland garden I get a chance to spend some time thinking and to clear my head a little. I get to turn off some of the outside distraction and to think about some of those things that require my attention. In particular I was working out some advertising for my new Landscape Services Site http://www.glensgarden.com and also some changes for the website.

A garden is a very special space it should take you to a different place your own little world. My very special garden that I love to work in needs some very special attention in order to bloom and fulfill it’s greatest pinnacle of fruition . Sometimes it takes a great deal of time a set of loving hands gently massaging and tweaking this and that just the right amount of moisture and a fertile place to make it overflow and explode into the most wonderful garden overflowing with sweet fragrance and nectar that will fill your senses and sooth your soul. That is what my special garden does for me. Ever minute that I get to spend there is a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. Each time I go there it is harder and harder to leave because it is such a big part of my life and is now a part of me.

I know that this sounded very passionate but that is because I am passionate about my garden. I know that not everyone is as passionate as I am and that is good because everyone is different. It has taken me 53 years to get to where I am now and I am a product of all that I have learned and the experiences I have had along the way. Some of the journey has been rough and some has been lots of fun. One thing is that from every experience I have taken something away with me which now steers me and helps me to clearly see what is important and what is not. I have learned a lot of what not to do and I have grown to be able to see past a lot of obstacles and find a way to make things come together and work when others would surly give up. You just need to keep trying and not give up for the prize will come to those who persist.

Enough of my philosophizing for today!

Gardening is a great thing and I wish everyone enjoyed it. I know not everyone is the same but for those of us who garden it is a very pleasurable experience.
