Building A Cucumber Trellis
The next thing was installing the trellis for the cucumber plants. This was a new design this year and very simple to do. I took two 6 foot fence post the placed them in the ground 8 feet apart. I used zip ties to attach a 10 foot long piece of 1/2″ conduit to each fence post and inserted one in the middle pushing each piece of conduit down at least 1 1/2′ into the ground. Finally I took steel mesh 4″ x 6″ like you use when pouring concrete and attached those to the upright poles with zip ties as well.

An Instant Cucumber Trellis.

As the weeks go by I will update you on the gardens progress and harvest data as well. Good luck with your own gardens and send me some pictures and I will post them on the site.
