Loading tweets...Well this years vegetable garden is all set and ready to go. The area was roto tilled two weeks ago and was ready for planting. After the area was raked out the plants were put into place. This years crop is based on favorites and a couple of new introductions this year.

Building A Cucumber Trellis
The next thing was installing the trellis for the cucumber plants. This was a new design this year and very simple to do. I took two 6 foot fence post the placed them in the ground 8 feet apart. I used zip ties to attach a 10 foot long piece of 1/2″ conduit to each fence post and inserted one in the middle pushing each piece of conduit down at least 1 1/2′ into the ground. Finally I took steel mesh 4″ x 6″ like you use when pouring concrete and attached those to the upright poles with zip ties as well.
