December 4th already boy days just seem to fly by. Seems like it should still be September. We are busy with the holiday decorating here at the urban garden. This week the color pots went in and are looking really nice. I have received a lot of complements this year. Today I will finish decorating the wreaths and get the Manger down and on Monday we will put up the wreaths and Manger. The poinsettias will be arriving on Monday or Tuesday as well for the lobby.
It is a lot of work getting ready for the holidays and that is without the thought of snow. I think that when I was younger I looked forward much more to the holidays now though my big wish is for no snow on Christmas day or New Years day so that I can sit at home and relax. Pretty sad I guess but it is true. Winter is not my favorite time of the year. I really would rather be outside doing something but when it is in the low 30’s and everything is frozen it really take the thrill out of it. I guess I should not be surprised as after all this is Chicago and not Miami.
None the less I hope everyone is enjoying the season and is getting ready to have a festive and happy holiday season.
